The agreement allows for burial in a national cemetery if available, or provides other details related to internment such as cost-effective transportation of remains from another location. In addition, AF Form 507 covers all necessary documentation and paperwork needed by the Air Force to authorize benefits associated with an airman’s death. It must be signed by the signer before any other action can be taken on behalf of the deceased airman. The form also includes information about who will make decisions about arrangements should there be disagreement between signers and/or families. These details include who will bear financial responsibility for services rendered as well as who has authority over the disposition of remains (if applicable).

It can be obtained from the Veterans Affairs Office, online through their website, or from a local military installation. The form requires information on both the veteran and the surviving spouse, if applicable. This includes information such as Social Security numbers and contact details to ensure that all parties involved are properly identified. After filling out the form completely, it must be signed by both parties and submitted to the appropriate agency for review and finalization.

Depending on state regulations, there may also be additional documentation required prior to finalizing burial arrangements.
